Consumption of chicken skin can also increase your risk of getting Campylobacteriosis, especially if it is not processed properly. The reason is that the Campylobacter jejuni bacteria that causes campylobacteriosis can survive and multiply on chicken skin, even if stored in the freezer.

Symptoms of campylobacteriosis usually appear 2–5 days after the C. jejuni bacteria enter the body. Symptoms can include diarrhea, cramping or abdominal pain, and fever.

In addition, if not cleaned properly before processing or cooking, chicken skin can also contain Salmonella bacteria. These bacteria can cause typhoid fever (typhoid).

Eating too much chicken skin can cause various health problems.
